Successful production of day-old chicks requires that good hatchability be achieved consistently. Fertile eggs must be supplied with the correct ventilation, temperature, humidity and turning so that the biological needs of the developing embryo are adequately satisfied. Failure to provide the correct conditions results in depressed hatchability and changes in the pattern of embryo mortality.
