Live Vaccines
COMPOSITION
CHOLERAMUNE® M is a live bacterial vaccine containing the known
avirulent isolate of M-9 strain of Pasteurella in a freeze-dried preparation.
The M-9 strain has been shown to offer protection against naturally-occurring
field strains of Pasteurella multocida without causing untoward reactions in
vaccinates or reverting to virulence in the flock. The seed culture used
to make this vaccine has been laboratory tested as required by USDA for
protection against challenge with Pasteurella multocida type 1.
INDICATIONS
CHOLERAMUNE® M is recommended for use in healthy chickens 6 weeks of
age or older as an aid in preventing Fowl Cholera due to Pasteurella
multocida type 1.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Best results are obtained when vaccine is administered initially to chickens
6-12 weeks of age and again four to six weeks later, prior to start of lay.
Wing Web: Insert the applicator into the webbed portion of the wing avoiding feathers, muscle, bone and blood vessels (0.01 ml dose/bird). Vaccine should be used within one hour.

WARNING
Initial vaccination should not be
conducted in chickens older than
12 weeks of age, as this may result
in larger granulomas at the site of
inoculation which may cause
carcass downgrading at slaughter
