CEVA - MAXIMUNE® 6 For the immunisation of chickens against Infectious Bursal Disease and Reovirus Diseases from CEVA SANTE ANIMALE

MAXIMUNE® 6 is an inactivated oil emulsion vaccine containing three Infectious Bursal Disease viruses (Standard, variant A and E strains) and three reoviruses including strain S1133 (Tenosynovitis pathotype), strain 2408 (Malabsorption pathotype) and strain SS412 (Distinct serotype from the S1133 type reovirus and a causative agent of proventriculitis and malabsorption syndrome in broilers). All viruses in MAXIMUNE® 6 are non-cloned isolates produced in SPF chicken egg substrates or in bursal of SPF chickens.

The vaccine is indicated for use in healthy chickens as an aid in the prevention of diseases caused by Infectious Bursal Disease viruses (standard and variant strains) and avian reoviruses. Breeder vaccination provides maternal antibodies to progeny of breeder hens as an aid in the prevention of Bursal Disease, Tenosynovitis (viral arthritis) and Malabsorption syndrome that includes feed passage and proventiculitis.
Optimum results are obtained when chickens are properly primed with live Infectious Bursal Disease vaccine and Tenosynovitis vaccine at least four weeks in advance of administration of MAXIMUNE® 6.
