CEVA - LAYERMUNE® 5 For the immunisation of chickens against Newcastle Disease, Infectious Bronchitis and Infectious Bursal Disease from CEVA SANTE ANIMALE

LAYERMUNE® 5 is an inactivated vaccine containing three Infectious Bursal Disease viruses (the standard type and two variants), Newcastle Disease virus and two Infectious Bronchitis viruses of the Mass. type (Mass 41 and Mass Holland strains). All viruses in LAYERMUNE® 5 are noncloned isolates produced in SPF chicken egg substrates or in bursae of SPF chickens.

LAYERMUNE® 5 is indicated as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by Infectious Bursal Disease virus (standard and variant types), Newcastle Disease virus and Infectious Bronchitis virus. One dose of LAYERMUNE® 5 replaces the need of live Newcastle and bronchitis vaccines during lay. Breeder vaccination provides maternal antibodies to progeny of breeder hens to aid in the prevention of Infectious Bursal Disease caused by standard and variant types.

A prime with live Infectious Bursal Disease vaccine and bronchitis vaccine of the Mass. type is recommended at least four weeks in advance of administration of LAYERMUNE® 5. Revaccination during or just prior to molt is recommended.

LAYERMUNE® 5 is administered for the use in healthy chickens at least 18 weeks of age and four weeks prior to the onset of egg productionby the subcutaneous route.
The dose is 0.5 ml (1/2 cc) per bird. The preferred injection site is under the skin on the back of the neck.
