A SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE DISINFECTANT

The toxicological and ecotoxicological properties of Halamid® have been extensively tested with favourable results, making Halamid® a safe and sustainable disinfectant.

A safe disinfectant
Even if the powder disinfectant is classified as corrosive, in solution this safe disinfectant is not irritating to eye and skin, meaning you can easily and safely work with Halamid® solutions. For more information on exposure control, personal protection and first aid procedures please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet.

A sustainable disinfectant
Halamid® :
- is readily biodegradable
- does not accumulate in the environment
- causes insignificant formation of Absorbable Organic Halogens
(AOX) when compared to hypochlorite and dichloroisocyanurate (other popular chlorine based disinfectants)

For our protection, Halamid® is trimmed to kill micro organisms in the controlled environment where it is applied. After release and under normally applied conditions, Halamid® is compatible with waste water treatment installations. Tests have shown that a sustainable disinfectant such as Halamid® has minimal impact on surface and ground water and the environment in general.

Halamid® and AOX

USE BIOCIDE SAFELY. ALWAYS READ THE LABEL AND PRODUCT INFORMATION BEFORE USE.
