Battles louse powder seems to be the thing that most people on her recommend. See Moo post about feather lice she has got rid of them very quickly using this. I would keep giving them some high protein food whilst you treat to keep their strength up. Good luck Ryan Glad Meredith is looking up

I have used it too after advice on here. It isn't supposed to go directly on the hens but everyone does - even the guy int he feed store said I had to do that or it wouldn't work! It was very good, even though I ended up covered in the stuff, probably just as well though. They are horrible itchy things.

Today Meredith is walking around confidently and getting better My rooster Colonel Sanders isn't 100% and was itching earlier so I'll try to persuade my dad to get some of that powder as soon as he can.
Thanks for the recommendation

We just did a big mite offensive the last 2 days - poultry shield spray, paint coop, burn woodshavings, Frontline (not recommended)...bum wash! They all have various batt illnesses/cancers but certainly a refreshed attitude without mites bugging them...amazing to see! M

Retford poultry said she doesn't have worms, parasites, coccidiosis or infectious bronchitis but presumes its an internal infection which antibiotics would have an effect on. They recommend probiotics weekly.
Thanks for all the help,
Ryan
