hello, I have a 1 y/o beautiful bantam brahma cockerel. Where the feathers
grow from his legs and feet the skin is quite red, it always has been so I presumed this is normal. Lately it looks brighter red, I'm wondering if this is normal for brahma boys (I havent noticed it on my hen) or if not, is it a common problem & what is the best thing to do about it? (I think he's having a slight moult, I suppose that could be the cause) |

I believe that what you are describing is the bright red colouring which is just another sign of sexual maturity. The top of the feet redden like the wattles and comb.
Post a pic if you like. sandie |

He certainly is a fertile fella, has produced some smashing chickies. He's also gorgeous, sooo friendly & tame, and wonderful with his girls, finding them food and tidying their nestboxes! So I'm glad there's nothing wrong with him! |
