Editorial - Consumers Need Better Education
This week, it was revealed that organic turkeys now account for 2.3 per cent of the US market. A sizeable proportion of those turkeys will be bought and enjoyed during this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. The reasons consumers gave for choosing organic birds is that the meat is safer and healthier because it is free of antibiotic and pesticide residues.
