6th and 7th Theoretical and Practical Course on Avian Coccidiosis by HIPRA UNIVERSITY
On 9th and 10th of May, the sixth and seventh editions of HIPRA UNIVERSITY, focusing on poultry and specifically on theoretical and practical aspects of avian coccidiosis, was held at HIPRA headquarters in Amer (Girona).
New Member of the Cobb Sales Team in North America
Mark Hamby has joined the North America sales team of Cobb-Vantress, Inc. as Southeast regional sales manager. He is responsible for managing sales efforts in Georgia, Florida, Indiana and parts of Tennessee and Kentucky.
Plans for Success Hatched at Latest Aviagen EMEA Production Management School
The fifth Aviagen® Hatchery and Incubation Management module brought together 39 students from 19 countries in Budapest, Hungary, from April 21 to 28. It was titled “Optimizing Hatchery Performance,” and is part of the Aviagen Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Production Management School.
Aviagen invests in Petersime equipment for new €12 million hatchery in Hungary
Aviagen Kft in Hungary recently opened a new hatchery to meet the growing demand for their parent stock (PS) in the region. Aviagen worked closely with Petersime for the project design and the incubator and hatchery equipment.
Re-Stored turkey eggs outperform untreated eggs stored for 8 to 15 days by 7%
As storage time of eggs increases, performance losses increase. By using heat treatment during storage up to 14 days, as part of your standard hatchery practice, it is possible to gain up to 6 to 7% in turkey egg performance. Standard programs have been developed to advance the development of embryos to a more robust stage.
