Proper water pressure, volume essential to good flock performance
Water is one of those “it goes without saying” topics when discussing how to maintain a healthy flock, but Tom Tabler, extension professor at Mississippi State University, Poultry Science Department, discusses how many don’t actually know some pertinent details regarding their water pressure and volume. In Tabler’s experience, the result is that performance suffers. In this article, common problems and solutions are discussed with some helpful tips for growers to optimise water availability at their production sites.
