The Post on Monday quoted PAZ executive manager Mathews Ngosa as saying here that the major challenge facing the poultry industry in Zambia is the market. Ngosa attributed the production improvement to enormous efforts of breeders.

He said the industry is looking at markets beyond borders, especially in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the largest consumer of Zambia's poultry products.

"We need to take advantage of the closeness to the DRC to increase exports by reducing costs of egg production and increasing demand on both local and international market," he said.
