Price Summary

As for AA broilers, prices fell in Sichuan, Henan and Jiangsu, but were up in other regions.

Market analysis

AA broiler
In Sichuan, increased supplies caused prices to weaken. Prices were also lower in Henan and Jiangsu as inclement weather hampered broiler deliveries. Traders were less active in buying supplies.

In the other regions, improved demand amid limited market supplies sent prices higher. Meat processors had increased their purchases as demand for their chicken cut products had continued to rise.

China breed broiler
Demand had entered its peak season in Guangdong and Guangxi. The pace of broiler supplies in these regions could not keep pace with the rise in demand, thus contributing to higher prices.

Market forecast

As consumer demand for broilers increases and more meat processors step up procurement in the run up to year-end festivities, prices are seen to move steadily higher.
