Aviagen's Hungarian Seminar Strengthens Customer Relations
HUNGARY - Aviagen recently held its annual customer seminar in Hungary. The event also featured the presentation of the Hungarian 'Flock Awards'.
The seminar provides a regular forum to update customers on company-wide news and developments as well as providing an opportunity to share commercial and technical information. The seminar reunites customers from all across the country and allows delegates to build even closer relationships.
Tyark Osterndorff, Business Development Director for the region, welcomed customers from various Hungarian Parent Stock companies. The event included presentations from members of the Aviagen team covering both technical and commercial topics.
John Ralph introduced Aviagen's Genomics Research programme. Nick Spenceley and Jonathan Harrison outlined benefits derived from both the value of parent stock in the broiler supply chain and from maximising broiler chickens' carcass quality.
Dr Ákos Klausz reinforced the importance of biosecurity and discussed the practicalities of operating in Hungary with the current Avian Influenza status and restrictions. Péter Papócsi then gave an overview of the Hungarian market and recent parent stock placements.
The annual 'Flock Award' for the best overall performing flock was awarded to Mrs Mezo Gaborne, CEO of Barkev Bana Kft. Mrs Mezo commented: "This award is testament to the hard work of our team and their continued focus on animal welfare. We are committed to high levels of biosecurity and our dedicated programme has continued to support our drive for excellence in husbandry and flocks with a good health status. It is really encouraging to have this work recognised."
Nick Spenceley concluded: "Aviagen is always pleased to recognise exceptional performance and these results demonstrate the Ross breed's potential in the region. We look forward to more of our customers taking part next year. In this way, we can provide even more informed levels of technical support as we gain a fuller understanding of the performance of the product in the field."
