New technical specialist joins Hybro
THE NETHERLANDS - As a result of continuing growth, Hybro B.V. has appointed Mr. Mohammad Kallas as technical manager for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, with effect from February 1 2007.
With a BA in Agriculture and an MA in Animal Science from the American University of Beirut, Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, Mr. Kallas (37) began his career managing an integrated poultry farm and feed mill in Nigeria and Lebanon. Since June 2004, he has worked as a branch manager with Zartech Nigeria Ltd., the largest poultry operation in the country.
In his new role, Mr. Kallas will work with customers to deliver premium technical performance from their breeders and broilers, predominantly the Hybro PN+ and PG+. Reporting directly to area manager Mannes Elkink, he will also be responsible for the quality and delivery of technical support.
Mr. Kallas will replace Alex van der Voorn, who after three years in the role is moving to take up a new position as Operational manager Hybro Brasil.
Mr Elkink, area manager for Middle East, Turkey and Africa, says Hybro’s customer base has grown significantly in this area in recent years. “With more and more poultry companies now investing in Hybro flocks,” he says, “it is important to maintain the high levels of technical support that our customers have become accustomed to.”
“We wish Alex well in his new role – and look forward to welcoming Mohammad to our team.”
