Tasker Products Adds Online Re-Processor Application to Its Suite of Poultry Processing Products

US - Company Forwards Its Plan to Offer First End-to-end, Bacteria Eradicating Solution to Poultry Processors.

Tasker Products Corp. ("Tasker") (OTC Bulletin Board: TKER), a distributor and marketer of proprietary technology effective in inhibiting pathogenic bacteria, today announced that it has received approval from the Food Safety and Inspection Service ("FSIS") of the United Stated Department of Agriculture ("USDA") for the testing protocols it intends to use to achieve consent from the FSIS to use its Tasker Blue in the Online Re-Processor ("OLR") section of poultry processing.

The Company expects to conduct these tests over the next several weeks. To date, Tasker has received favorable consents from the FSIS for use of its Tasker Blue in the Scalder, Picker, and Post-Picker "New York Dressed" Spray applications, which represent three of the seven intervention points of poultry processing. If the Company is successful in its efforts to achieve regulatory consent for the remaining intervention points, it would have a comprehensive product offering for use in the entire poultry processing line.

"We recognized that Tasker's value to poultry processors would be greatly enhanced if it were to provide them with an end-to-end solution for eliminating bacteria, such as Salmonella and E. coli, which would be the first and only end-to-end solution available on the market for this purpose," commented Lanny Dacus, Tasker's president and CEO. "After we closely observed poultry operations at one of the largest poultry producers in the world, first hand, we recognized the interrelations of certain machinery, such as a water return cycle from the OLR to the Scalder. It became apparent that our strategy to inhibit pathogenic bacteria during poultry processing needed to be one that addressed the complete production line if it were to be highly effective and valuable to processors."

Dr. Scott Russell, a well-recognized expert in improving sanitation and safety and minimizing spoilage in poultry products -- and a consultant to Tasker, added, "With maximum limits for Salmonella set by the USDA, poultry processors have been searching for intervention approaches that lower Salmonella prevalence. If, during inspection, tests indicate that a plant fails three times to ensure that Salmonella is below the USDA maximum level, the USDA inspector will withdraw the inspection and effectively close the plant down. Since the cold water in the Chiller and Post-Chiller Dip contracts feather follicles, potentially trapping contaminated water, it is increasingly important to reduce contamination in the pre-Chiller processes to effective eliminate Salmonella." Dr. Russell continued, "Tasker Blue has proven in a number of in-plant, full use tests that it is highly effective in inhibiting pathogenic bacteria. Upon the successful completion of FSIS consent for the OLR application, Tasker will effectively have a multistage solution to control this problem in poultry processing and be closer to offering the first end-to-end solution. Furthermore, if Tasker is successful in adding a chiller application, it will further accomplish residual bacterial reduction and should also eliminate the need for chlorine in the process."

Mr. Dacus concluded, "We recognize the dilemma the poultry industry is facing in its endeavor to contain Salmonella and other pathogenic bacteria, and are responding to theirs needs by developing applications for several stages of poultry processing. Our objective is to provide a value-added, complete solution that delivers both physical and economical benefits to our customers."
