‘Govt all for quality food production’

LAHORE - The government is fully committed to encouraging production of food meeting international quality and safe-food standards. This is in keeping with the president’s vision of value addition to agro and livestock products.

These views were expressed by State Minister for Housing and Works Sardar Mohammad Asif Nakai who was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the K&N’s Poultry Farms at Wan Adhan near Lahore.

The minister said that Pakistan is blessed with all the potential and resources needed to rise among the comity of nations. Our people just need the right leadership and direction to utilize the same. The government is committed to boosting investor confidence by devising policies conducive to investment, he added.

He lauded the role of the company in the promotion of the poultry industry on modern lines meeting the international standards. He said that in the wake of the growing challenges of food security, the producers had introduced new dimensions for the promotion of poultry farming. It is the need of the hour to upgrade our farming methods on modern lines in order to compete at the global level.
