Cobb Europe technical services director Pelayo Casanovas says that Mr Sakr has gained tremendous respect among Middle East customers through his practical background as a production manager and his ability to convey technical advice.

Mr Sakr joined Cobb in autumn 2005 from the Hawa Chicken company in Lebanon where he managed a team of 16 technicians involved in large-scale broiler and table egg production. He has written scientific publications covering many aspects of poultry health.

Mr Gouault spent four years with the Bourgoin group in France developing new breeder and broiler facilities before joining Cobb in 1990. He has held sales and technical positions, and has been regional technical manager for the Middle East and also southern Africa.

“He has become one of our most experienced grandparent specialists, working closely with distributors to optimise performance and productivity,” says Mr Casanovas. “His background will enhance technical support for our customers, particularly Cobb Spain and Cobb Germany which supplies parent stock to 18 countries in central and eastern Europe.”
