Hybro launches new franchise-distributor Agreement in Syria

NETHERLANDS - Khaldoun Ahmad Trading Establishment in Syria has finalised a franchise distributor agreement with Dutch broiler breeder Hybro BV, for the production and marketing of Hybro PG+ parent stock for the Syrian market. Under the terms of this new agreement, the Syrian company also has non-exclusive sales rights in Lebanon and Jordan.

Following supply of the first Hybro GPS flock in October 2006, two further deliveries are scheduled for this year. The new GPS project is located at a remote yet easily accessible site, close to Damascus and the international airport. With the highest of biosecurity standards in place and the new, state-of-the-art design of Khaldoun Ahmad Trading’s GPS farms and hatchery, the company is, says general manager Mr Khaldoun Ahmad, assuring the supply of first class parentstock for its customers.

Management, checks and controls for the health status of the flocks will be carried out in strict compliance with standard procedures set by Hybro for all its distributors.

Mr. Ahmad says of the new Agreement: “Besides the modern production facilities, designed and built in close consultation with Hybro, our company will distinguish itself in this highly competitive market by delivering a comprehensive range of pre and after sales services to our customers.

“Not only will we monitor the performance of all delivered PS flocks, but we will also assist our direct customers in the management and optimization of their broiler producers.”

A service team will, says Mr. Ahmad, be put in place to maintain these high service levels for the company’s customers. And with ambitious plans for future expansion, Khaldoun Ahmad Trading has, in conjunction with Hybro, developed a roadmap for extension plans through to 2008 and beyond, which will also deliver slaughter and processing facilities for broilers.

“This integrated capability will certainly benefit our Hybro PS and broiler customers,” concludes Mr. Ahmad, “during both good times and bad.”
