It currently exports to Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei. Last year, export sales made up about 5% of its total revenue of RM90 million.

“This year we expect export sales to make up 15% (of total revenue) if we manage to export our products to these potential markets,” said KFCH managing director Jamaludin Md Ali today.

Jamaludin, who is also QSR Brands Bhd managing director, said Ayamas expects to record between 12% and 15% sales growth this year from the RM90 million last year with the current and new products to be launched.

Last year, Ayamas' business contributed 5% to KFCH's overall sales of RM1.56 billion.

About 75% of Ayamas poultry is currently sold to KFCH restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore, while the remaining raw material is re-processed into chicken nuggets, sausages and other snack foods.
