UGANDA - Ms Getrude Kakooza, a poultry farmer does not regret taking up this venture, which she says is lucrative and has enabled her to finance her needs including paying school fees for her seven children and a few dependents.Using proceeds from her farming enterprises, four of her children completed their education and the last three are candidates in senior four and primary seven.
"I had always considered my banana plantation as the main source of income until the dangerous banana bacterial wilt disease wiped it out, and now as an alternative means, I have taken up poultry farming.
