Ross 2007 Eastern European Flock Award winners

At the recent Aviagen Customer Seminar in Hungary, one of the highlights was the announcement of the 2007 Ross Flock Awards for Eastern Europe. These Flock Awards reward the farm managers for their stockmanship and enable Aviagen to thank all customers for their help in collecting and sharing information about how the Ross products perform in the field. The awards, which recognise best performance in different categories, are a testament to the excellent performance which can be achieved with Ross stock.

Ross birds have continued to produce outstanding results in the region and are the product of choice, beating competitors in both the breeder and broiler sector. For the first time this year, the awards not only included broiler breeder flocks in the region, but also broiler flocks.

Jonny Harrison, Regional Technical Manager, commented: "I would like to congratulate all our customers on the excellent results which show ongoing progress in both Ross breeder and broiler performance. Our breeding programme delivers birds with superb genetic potential, but this potential can only be realised through strong farm management. These awards are a vital part of our business and we are grateful to our customers who provide us with their flock performance data. The data gathered through the flock award surveys helps us greatly in developing products and supporting customers through technical advice.

We would like to extend our special congratulations to Perutnina Ptuj who not only received the award for the best Ross 308 breeder flock in Slovenia, but also scooped the award as the overall Eastern European Regional Winner."
