Youth Permanent Secretary Subhas Chandra said he was satisfied and grateful for the initiative and help offered by Taiwan and the Ministry of Agriculture to develop young people and the poultry farming industry.

"I am pleased with the way we've come together for the sake of the youths and the development of the industry," he said.

"They will not only go back to their communities to share it (their knowledge) but use the skills to provide a livelihood for themselves."

The MOU was signed by Taiwanese mission leader, Cheng-Heng Lee and senior research officer livestock, Navitalai Rokotuitai.

It will see the establishment of the Poultry Farm Training Development Project at the Ministry of Youth's National Youth Training Centre, in Sigatoka.
