Print This Page Russia Not Abolish Prohibition On Polish Meat
RUSSIA - Russia keeps prohibition on import of Polish meat due to political reasons, Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, the Polish Agriculture Minster, said currently visiting Baku, Azerbaijan. Ardanowski will take part in the Polish national exhibition.Russian Agriculture Ministry imposed temporarily prohibition on import of beef, beef by-products, pig, pig by-products, poultry and semi-finished products from Poland to Russia due to violation of veterinary laws. The prohibition was imposed on 10 November 2005.
The prohibition imposed on meat import from Poland does not negatively affect on development of economy in Russia. Totally 40,000 of different Polish commodities are imported to Russia.
