Ministry Of Agricultural Jihad Purchases 1150 Tons Of Live Chicken

“According to the agreed project of chicken, which has been implemented for supporting the producers and consumers by the ministry of agricultural jihad, 1150 tons of living chicken have been bought, butchered, distributed and frozen for storage,” said the Head of agricultural jihad organization of the province Ilam.

“30 to 40 tons of living chicken are bought daily and delivered to the abattoirs for butchering,” added Khosro Shahbazi.

He announced that the price of each Kilo of living chicken is 12 thousand 70 Rials.

“In order to support the producers 2 thousand tons of Maize and One thousand tons of Soybean have been in the hands of the poultry farmers of the province,” said Shahbazi.

“This year 2 million 300 thousand chicken were grown which will reach over 4 million in the next year,” he continued.

“Considering the problem of abattoir in the province and lack of their number, the certifications for construction of some of new units have been issued and their initiation steps are under process,” said the Head of agricultural jihad organization of the province Ilam.
