Print This Page Prolonged winter season brings poultry prices down
PAKISTAN - Prolonged winter season coupled with some other compelling factors, has brought prices of poultry products substantially down in the city during the past one month bringing unexpected relief to a large number of consumers, according to the Daily Times.About one and half months ago, retail prices of chicken meat were hovering between Rs 140 to Rs 150 per kg, however, in the wake of low demand of the white meat before and after Eid ul Azha, they plunged to Rs 100 per kg.
The price level continues to be unchanged as even after passage of more than one month, the price of chicken meant continues to remain between Rs 100 to Rs 110 per kg as chicken wholesalers and retailers have attributed the unaffected price pattern owing to prolonged winter season in Karachi like elsewhere across the country.
