Print This Page Egg Products: Shell Eggs Broken Up 8 Percent from Last Year
US - Report by the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), Agricultural Statistics Board, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Shell eggs broken totaled 172 million dozen during January 2008, up 8 percent from January a year ago, and 8 percent above the 159 million broken last month.
January 2008 contained 23 weekdays (including two holidays) and 4 Saturdays. January 2007 contained 23 weekdays (including two holidays) and 4 Saturdays.
Data presented in this report were compiled from Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) inspection reports. The best available data at the time of publication were used.
