194,000 Eggs Laid for Food Bank

COLORADO, US - Morning Fresh Farms, alongside a couple of other Colorado egg operations have donated a whopping 194,000 eggs to the Food Bank for the Easter Holiday.

Five food banks across the state recieved the donation, including the Weld Food Bank in Greeley which will get another delivery Wednesday.

According to the Greeley Tribune, Jerry Wilkins of Morning Fresh Farms - the largest of three egg operations in Weld County - said that his company donates eggs to the Weld Food Bank every week, but increases the donation ahead of the Easter Holiday to 32,400 eggs over a six-week period. The donation is 30 cases instead of the normal delivery of 24 cases.

"We are happy to do that, to support a worthy cause, especially for the Easter season," Wilkins said.
