Print This Page Four Arrested at Raeford Poultry Plant
US - On Tuesday, federal agents arrested four supervisors at a poultry plant belonging to House of Raeford on alleged immigration violations.It is expected that a further six people are will be arrested in an ongoing federal investigation, according to the The Charlotte Observer.
Immigration officials made the arrests after finding what appeared to be false information on employment records kept at the company's chicken processing plant in Greenville, South Carolina, according to Kevin McDonald, the state's first assistant US attorney.
"It's an ongoing investigation – one that [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] and our office have been working on for a number of months," Mr McDonald said.
