Hallmark is Vancouver's Fourth Largest Water User

CANADA - Hallmark Poultry Processors used almost half a million cubic metres of water last year.

Hallmark Poultry Processors Ltd used 497,969 cubic metres of water last year, according to The Vancouver Sun.

It makes this company the fourth biggest user of water in the city, behind Molson Canada brewery, Rogers Sugar Ltd and Central Heat Distribution Ltd.

Per-capita water consumption in Vancouver totalled 542 litres per day in 2007, of which residential users contributed 295 litres. according to the Vancouver Sun. One cubic metre is the equivalent to 1,000 litres.
