Print This Page Brazilian Chicken Farmers Exhibit at Chinese Fair
BRAZIL - The Brazilian Association of Chicken Producers and Exporters (ABEF) will be present at the China International Foodstuff Exposition (CIFE).ABEF is taking part in the fair in partnership with Brazilian export and investment agency, APEX-Brasil, according to Macau Hub.
The chicken meat export sector is awaiting the definitive opening up of the mainland Chinese market, and ABEF is in contact with the Chinese Association of Meat Importers and Exporters.
Brazil currently exports 350,000 tonnes of chicken meat to Hong Kong every year.
ABEF brings together Brazil's main chicken producers and exporters, which represent 91 per cent of Brazil's exports of the product.
China International Foodstuff Exposition (CIFE) takes place in Guangzhou on 5 to 7 July 2008. It is the first fair of its kind in this southern region of China.
