Print This Page Emergency Response Plan Praised
CANADA - The poultry industry in Alberta has received praise for its plan for a quick reaction in case a serious disease is discovered in birds.Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development veterinarian, Dr Delores Peters commented, "Their response plan is wonderful. They're well advanced in their preparations should an emergency hit their industry."
Every year, the poultry industry tests its plan so that key emergency response people, producers on the board of directors and office managers know what to do in case an emergency arises.
