New Sales Manager for Cobb Europe
EU - Paul Brochard has joined Cobb Europe in a joint role as sales manager for Cobb products in France and Italy and to manage sales of the future Cobb Sasso breeds worldwide.
The appointment follows the initial UK launch of the Cobb Sasso150, the slower growing product aimed at enhanced welfare standards developed through the association between Cobb and Sasso, the world leader in coloured chickens for the Label Rouge and other niche markets.
Mr Brochard has more than 20 years' experience in the poultry industry. After four years selling animal feed for Cargill, he joined SFPA, [Société Française de Production Avicole] the subsidiary of ISA Poultry, involved with the production and hatching of commercial layers and broilers for the French market. Then after ISA's acquisition by Hendrix Genetics in 2005, he became its export manager working with ISA distributors.
Fluent in English, German and Italian as well as French, Mr Brochard graduated at the RSR school of agriculture at Angers in the Loire Valley, and spent six months in the USA studying genetics at University of Illinois.
