Print This Page Cherkizovo Completes Phase One at Vertunovka
RUSSIA - Cherkizovo Group OJSC has completed the construction of the first phase of a new poultry farm at Vasiljevskaya in Penza.In a statement, Cherkizovo said Vertunovka will comprise 48 poultry houses when reconstruction is complete, according to a report by Hemscott sourced from Thomson Financial.
Completion is due by the end of next year and total capacity is said to be 55 million birds per year. Total investment at Vertunovka will be around $75 million.
The first phase comprises 12 poultry houses at a cost of $20 million in buildings and equipment.
