Print This Page Chicken and Mackerel Taken Off Shelves
UK - Star Foods has recalled its own brand of herbed/spiced chicken, chicken roll/chicken breast, smoked mackerel and peppered mackerel, because an incorrect 'use by' date appears on the product packaging. There may also be a problem with the vacuum packing of the smoked mackerel and peppered mackerel products, causing some of the packaging to burst. The Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.
Star Foods has recalled the affected products and has issued point-of-sale notices to be displayed in stores. These notices explain why the products have been recalled. Anyone who has bought a product can return it for a full refund.
The products have only been distributed in the South East region of the UK.
