2009 Brazilian Poultry Congress

The Brazilian Chicken Producers and Export Association (ABEF), president Francisco Turra said, "This is a truly historic event for the industry, which will serve to unite the entire chain from production to exportation. It will draw together the country's most representative poultry farmers organizations, Of course this is in keeping with Brazil's rank as the world's third largest poultry produces and largest exporter."

The event is being sponsored by The Brazilian Poultry Association (UBA), the Brazilian Chicken Producers and Exporters Association (ABEF), the Foundation of Poultry Science and Technology (FACTA) and the Federation of Industries for the State of Rio Grande.

Visitors are expected from all over the world, it is conceivable that by May 2009, Brazil will be the second largest poultry producer in the world, based on current projections, according to ABEF.
