Print This Page S Korea Finds Banned Substance in Chinese Duck
SOUTH KOREA - The authorities have found traces of chloramphenicol in duck meat imported from China.South Korea's quarantine service said on 17 November that it has found a banned antibiotic that can cause bone marrow defects in Chinese cooked duck meat, according to Yonhap.
The three-ton shipment contained a very low chloramphenicol level of 0.0006 parts per million, the National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service (NVRQS) said.
