Big Dutchman Sets Standards in Slovakia

SLOVAKIA - Big Dutchman sets standards in broiler breeding in Slovakia by supplying equipment to Novogal, a giant in the country's poultry industry.

Big Dutchman

The poultry company Novogal, a.s., based in Dvory nad Zitavou is one of the giants in the poultry industry in Slovakia with their annual production of 130 million eggs and 4 m kilos of broiler meat.

Novogal owner, Ondrej Guman, receives an award at the Agrokomplex 2004 in Nitra from the Slovakian Minister of Agriculture, Zsold Simon.

It was among the first poultry companies which considerably modernised their technology equipment by installing the Big Dutchman cage sysytem for broiler breeders in 1991.

In 1996 they were fully compliant with the ecologists' request for no-waste poultry excrement processing. At this time Novogal started the so-called "non-cholesterol Omega eggs project", where eggs are enriched by fat acids and Vitamin E.

Beginning of 2001 they implemented the system of centralised collection and sorting of eggs and this system is still being improved. The latest hit from Novogal are eggs containing increased selenium dosage.
