The decision was made today in view of the control measures taken by Thailand and that no further cases of avian influenza have been reported.

The centre suspended the processing of applications following confirmation of an outbreak of avian influenza H5N1 on a poultry farm in the kingdom in November.

The centre is monitoring the situation in the central west part of Thailand and restrictions on imports from the area will remain for now.
