Print This Page Another Case of Low-Path Bird Flu in Japan
JAPAN - The Japanese veterinary authorities have sent a report to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) about one new case of low-pathogenic avian influenza.
The Japanese veterinary authority sent Follow up Report No. 3 to OIE on 12 March.
It covers one new case of LPAI in a flock of 110,000 laying quail in Toyohashi City in Aichi prefecture. The subclinical infection was found and all the birds were destroyed.
The presence of the H7N6 virus subtype was confirmed.
