Print This Page Elimination of Contaminated Poultry Feed Ordered
PAKISTAN - The Supreme Court (SC) today issued orders to destroy the imported poultry feed contaminated by pig meat and for action to be taken against those responsible for importing the feed.The three-member bench of the Supreme Court, comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Ch Ijaz Ahmed and Justice Mahmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui, was hearing a suo motu case.
Earlier, Attorney General of Pakistan Latif Khosa in a statement before the court said that the 14 samples of the poultry feed tested in the laboratory were found contaminated by pig meat, according to The Nation.
