Print This Page More Smuggled Chicks Destroyed in Nepal
NEPAL - Police have destroyed 3,000 chicks smuggled into the country from India.Kapilvastu Police told Nepal News yesterday (22 July) that it has destroyed around 3,000 chicks smuggled into Nepal from India.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of patrolling police seized the chicks from Everest Feed Factory in Kapilvastu district brought from Gorakhpur of India through secret routes and buried them, according to national news agency.
Nepal government has banned import of poultry products from India, citing the danger of spread of bird flu in the country.
