US Monthly Egg Products Report - July 2009

US - Shell eggs broken totaled 179 million dozen during June 2009, up six per cent from the same month a year ago, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) in their monthly Egg Products report in July 2009.

Shell eggs broken totaled 179 million dozen during June 2009, up six per cent from June a year ago and from the previous month.

June 2009 contained 22 weekdays and four Saturdays. June 2008 contained 21 weekdays and four Saturdays.

During calendar year 2009 through June, shell eggs broken totaled 985 million dozen, down two per cent from the comparable period in 2008.

To date, cumulative total edible product from eggs broken in 2009 was 1,289 million pounds, down two per cent from 2008.
