Brasil Foods Sees BRR210 Million Third Quarter Profit
BRAZIL - Brazilian meat and poultry processing giant Basil Foods has recorded profits of 210 million real (BRR)) in the third quarter of the year.

The company formed by the merger of Perdigão and Sadia had net revenue of BRR5.3 billion.
In the third quarter report, the company said that it had sales in volume of 1.4 million tonnes of processed meat products, dairy products and other processed foods.
The company saw the majority of its sales worth BRR3.8 billion (58 per cent) in the domestic market.
Exports were BRR2.3 billion. The company said that export revenue was hit by high exchange rates but in turn, this benefited the home market.
Gross revenue was BRR6.2 billion and gross profit was BRR1.1 billion.
