Active imports of meat to Ukraine at 'dumping prices' has led to the suspension of some investment projects in the breeding sector and stoppage of some poultry and pork farms, reports Ukrainian Journal.

A statement of the All-Ukrainian Union of Agricultural Companies, Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Tvaryprom Corporation and Union of Poultry Producers of Ukraine sent to First Deputy Prime Minister, Oleksandr Turchynov, says that, over the first 11 months of 2009, Ukraine imported 375,400 tons of meat, including 198,000 tons of pork, 15,800 tons of beef and 161,100 tons of poultry.
