New Building for Poultry Farmers' Association

INDIA - The new building of Warangal Poultry Farmers Association has been officially opened.

Warangal Poultry Farmers Association's own building – called Padmashree B.V. Rao Bhavan – was inaugurated at a glittering function by B. Venkatesh Rao, Vice Chairman, National Egg Co-ordination Committee and Joint Managing Director, Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd.

According to Express Buzz, the building is a long-standing dream of poultry farmers of Warangal Zone. It was completed through generous support from National Egg Co-ordination Committee.

At the official inauguration, Venkatesh Rao also unveiled the statue of the late B.V. Rao, who is fondly remembered by Indian poultry farmers as the father of Indian poultry industry.

Several dignitaries, including Sri Ponnala Lakshmaiah (Minister for Major Irrigation, Government of Andhra Pradesh), E. Pradeep Rao (Zonal Chairman, National Egg Co-ordination Committee, Warangal Zone), V. Sundar Naidu (Chairman and Managing Director, Balaji Hatcheries), D. Sudhakar (President, Andhra Pradesh Poultry Federation), B. Ram Reddy (President, Andhra Pradesh Broiler Breeding Association) and K.S. Reddy, paid glowing tributes to B.V. Rao, recalling his pivotal contribution to the growth and modernisation of the Indian poultry industry.
