Russia Lifts Ban on US Poultry Meat at WTO
GLOBAL - Following talks at the World Trade Organization in Switzerland, Russia has lifted its ban on the import of US poultry products.

Emerging from a round of Geneva talks yesterday (27 September) on Russian membership of the World Trade Organization, the Russian Agriculture Minister, Yelena Skrynnik, announced a decision to lift a ban on American poultry products.
According to Voice of Russia, the ban was over unacceptable levels of chlorine in US poultry.
Last month, Russia's chief consumer protection officer, Gennadi Onishchenko, spoke about a programme for appropriate checks.
