Euro 2012 Venue for Cobb Germany Polish Event

POLAND - One of the new hotels built for the Euro 2012 football tournament – the Remes Hotel, near Poznan – was the venue for the Cobb Germany conference for 155 Polish customers including feed mill, hatchery and veterinary representatives.

The delegates were introduced to the event and to the venue – also to become a training centre for teams during the tournament – by Aldona van Krevel, Polish market manager.

James Truscott, director of Cobb Germany, spoke about how Cobb 500 has been developed and how customers could take full advantage of its feed efficiency in helping them to achieve least cost chicken production.

General manager of Cobb Germany and Wimex, Leo von Drechsel, analysed the current global situation for the poultry market, focusing on the impact of the escalation in raw materials costs as feed is such a major component in poultry production.

Pelayo Casanovas, director of sales and technical service for Cobb Europe, spoke about profitability in broiler breeder production, while Matthew Wilson, from the Cobb world technical support team, put an economic value on Cobb recommendations in improving profitability on the farm each year.

Dr Jan Szeptycki, from Avi-Vet Company, introduced the subject of auto vaccines in poultry production.

Ireneusz Rosada, Polish technical service manager, presented Cobb 500 breeder performance results in Poland introducing the best flock owners – Aneta and Pawel Tylka. They received a diploma and miniature statue from Mr Truscott on behalf of Cobb Germany and the whole Polish team – Aldona van Krevel, Ireneusz Rosada, Piotr Czaplicki and Tomasz Torgows.
