Gafoor to Upgrade its Poultry Plant
24 December 2010UK - Halal poultry specialist, Gafoor Poultry, has announced plans to invest £4 million, including an upgrade its processing plant.
Gafoor Poultry Products, based in Preston, Lancashire, has invested around £4 million upgrading its factory and plans to spend more on farmland, reports The Business Desk.
The family-owned group, which specialises in halal poultry, reported sales of £41.4 million, up 13 per cent in the year to October 2009. During the period, it made a pre-tax profit of £150,000 – up from a £1 million loss last time.
