Passing of Peter Lewis
12 January 2011UK - The death has been announced of Dr Peter Lewis, co-author of Poultry Lighting: The Theory and Practice.
Jackie Linden, senior editor of ThePoultrySite, writes: "It is with great sadness that we report the death of Dr Peter Lewis, one of the world's leading authorities on the effects of lighting on poultry behaviour and development.
"His book – Poultry Lighting: The Theory and Practice – co-written with the late Trevor Morris, has become the key reference on the subject for researchers, students and producers alike.
"Peter was greatly respected as a scientist and always good company. He will be sadly missed.
"Our sympathies are with his family and friends at this difficult time."
