On 5 January 2011, VencoTec GmbH, Vencomatic's new dealer in the south of Germany, organised its first Open Day at Holzheim in Bavaria at the Bachbauernhof belonging to the Paletta family.

During the Open Day, visitors got the unique opportunity to visit a house that was already half populated by layers. This way, visitors could see the daily operations of a layer house.

The house is equipped with four rows of Bolegg Terrace from Vencomatic; in total it can house 12,000 layers. Egg collection is automated using a Prinzen PSPC 30 packer. A complete ventilation system made by Agro Supply ensures an optimal climate in the house.

It was a successful Open Day for VencoTec: the Paletta family welcomed almost 1,000 visitors.
